How are Open Posts filled?

The following video demonstrates how to fill open posts.

Open postsClosed An open post is a post/duty that has been scheduled, but has no employee assigned to it can be filled in one of three ways:

  • Manually using the assign an employee screen, which enables the user to allocate an individual to a duty. This can be accessed by:
    • Selecting Assign an Employee from the Plan | Sites page for a given Site. Select/create a duty. If the post has been created as Open (shown in red), right click on it and select Assign an employee. Assign the employee from the new dialog box. When the duty is saved, the system will validate the employee to ensure they match with the duty requirements. You can also select Assign an Employee from the toolbar.
    • Or by visiting the Set Up | Sites | Contract Times page. From here, select the Employee field. When selected, a new dialog box will appear. Select the employee from the list. When the duty is saved, the system will validate the employee to ensure they match with the duty requirements.

  • Automatically when rotaloading takes place - there’s a setting, which when selected will automatically Allocate Employees to both Contracted and UFN Duties.
