System: SOS Alerts

How to get there: Admin | System | System Settings | SOS Alerts

Before Version 18.6, when users raised a Note, a red notification banner would be displayed on all screens in Timegate Web alerting users to the note being raised (based on the individual user’s security profile). This feature is now restricted to work on only the Main Timegate Web page, the Duty Filter page, the T&A Monitor page and the Call Monitor page. In parallel with this change, a new feature has been introduced that enables an email to be sent to all users within a given Escalation Group when a note is raised. This settings page is where the email can be written and customised with a series of mail merge fields. Additionally, the escalation group where the SOS Alerts are to be sent is defined. To configure:

  • Select the Escalation Group

  • Enter the SOS Email Subject Template

  • Enter the SOS Email Body Template and select Save

Escalation Group

Select the Escalation Group for the SOS Alert email to be sent to from

SOS Email Subject Template

Enter a subject for the SOS Alert email. When creating the subject line, the following merge fields can be included to customise the email. These must be entered in capital letters as shown. They comprise:

  • <<NOTEREF>> - Reference number for the note

  • <<NOTETYPE>> - Type of note

  • <<SOURCE>> - The source of the note

  • <<ALARMTIME>> - Time that the alarm was raised (i.e. the note was created)

  • <<COMMENT>> - Any comments associated with the note

  • <<NAME>> - Name of person associated with the note

  • <<CONTACT>> - Contact telephone number

SOS Email Body Text

Enter the body text for the email. Again, the merge fields listed before can be included to customise the email message
