Employee Mandatory Field Selection
The following video shows you how to configure a sub-set of Employee fields which are shown in the HR and Employee Information tabs of an Employee record. Using this new feature, those who have been granted the appropriate security privileges are able to set the fields as either mandatory or optional from the Employee Mandatory Fields settings page:

This new system-wide feature enables those with the appropriate access privileges to determine whether a sub-set of fields which are shown on the Employee | HR | HR Information and Employee | Ops | Employee Information pages are mandatory or optional. This feature has a new settings page (Admin | General | Employee Mandatory Fields.) You can select those non-optional Employee HR Information fields, from Nationality, Ethnic Origin, Religion and Sexual Orientation. Additionally you can select mandatory Employee Information from the Employee Type, Employee Status and Rank fields. By default, these fields are not mandatory. If you choose an item to be mandatory, a * shows next to its label on-screen within the employee record. When creating/updating employee records, validation of the mandatory fields takes place. If data isn't entered, the system shows a red * and the error message “ complete all mandatory fields."
