Upload Multiple Documents to a Task
Before Timegate Web 20.4, only one document could be added to a task. 20.4 introduces the ability to upload multiple documents to a task. The following 03 min 07 sec clip shows walks you through how to create a new task, and then how to upload multiple documents to it:
This enhancement to the existing tasks document upload feature enables users to assign multiple documents to tasks rather than just being limited to one. This is particularly helpful to managers when they are raising tasks on behalf of their employees. For example, if an employee is leaving, there may be a leavers task where a resignation letter (from the employee) and a leaver exit interview form (completed by the manager) need to be attached.
Historically Timegate Web users have been restricted to uploading one document per task. From version 20.4 onwards, when a task is created or edited in Timegate Web (from Monitor | Tasks) where document uploads are permitted, users can upload more than one. Additionally, when an employee creates a task in the Employee Portal, they too can now upload multiple documents.
A new supporting Documents section has been added to the task in time to support and standardise the functionality. It includes a Choose Files button. When selected, the Timegate Web user can upload multiple documents. If you wish to attach the same Comment and/or set the same Document Access to a series of documents, but not all of the documents that are to be uploaded, the uploads can be done in separate batches/individually as required.
