Contracted Multiplier Annual Days Cap
The following 3 min 42 sec clip shows you how to apply an annual days cap to your employees absence entitlement to stop them from accruing more than the minimum statutory required days in certain scenarios e.g. where they may work in shift patterns that are more than 5 days:
This feature is specific to the contracted multiplier entitlement method. It has been introduced because in the UK, there is a statutory minimum number of days that must be provided that is based on a five day week working pattern. It is common for the absence rule to be configured in such a way that the employees entitlement is based on the contracted number of days or hours. This works perfectly well for those working five days a week or under, however, where a shift pattern of more than five days is used, it usually results in an entitlement greater than the legal minimum requirement. This annual days cap stops this from happening.
